Getting Started with the Everystep Script Editor

Glossary Definition:  EveryStep Scripting Tool

System Requirements

  • 4GB RAM or higher
  • CPU 1 GHz or higher
  • OS Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012  (32 or 64 bit)
  • IE 11 or higher

To begin using the Everystep scripting tool you must first download the software here.  You should make sure that you have proper admin privileges to install the software.

Once you have the software installed, the first time you run Everystep you will be prompted to use the windows Secondary Logon Service.  We recommend you set up a valid secondary user account on your computer dedicated to this tool because it will be less likely to interfere with your browsing experience.  This is because every time the scripting tool runs a script it first clears the browser cache for the user that is logged in.  This ensures that no elements are cached and everything must be downloaded from the servers to record a valid page load result.

Once you have configured the Secondary Logon account, you will begin creating your first script.

Here is a video tutorial to help you get started with the Everystep scripting tool.
