Crypt Variables can be associated with specific domain names (hosts). For example, a user can use Crypt Variables in the script, which is executed on an unwanted web resource by mistake, or deliberately. In this case, sensitive data, such as user credentials, can be exposed to other websites and data may become visible. To deal with this issue, you can assign a Crypt Variable to the specific Realm of hostnames during configuration.

The Realm functionality is currently not supported for Postman Collection requests.

Using a semicolon as a separator, you can specify one or more hostnames as the Realm.

For example, the “password” variable shown in the picture below will be used only upon logging into your Dotcom-Monitor account.

If it’s necessary to use the script which contains the “password” variable on some other hosts, add the corresponding hostnames to the Realm field as pictured below.
