Performance dashboard can be easily customized to display the information you need to monitor. You can organize the dashboard tables by device configuration details and by performance metrics.
Each platform is represented by a related widget. Data collected from all Monitoring Platforms and devices are displayed on the dashboard by default. Herewith, statistics for all monitoring locations are provided on the widgets. A widget header displays a monitoring platform name and a date of the last update as well as the indicators with the counts of devices with alerts, errors and “OK” statuses.
To collapse/expand a widget, click the widget header.
Selecting platforms and packages to display
To choose monitoring platforms and packages to be displayed on the dashboard widgets, click the screw icon on the top of the dashboard.
From within the pop-up window, you can choose platforms and packages to show/hide on the dashboard by selecting/deselecting the corresponding checkboxes.
Customizing widgets layout
Widgets display device summaries and monitoring statistics per Monitoring Platforms. You can customize widgets to display monitoring details relevant to your current needs.
To edit a particular widget, click the related screw icon in the right top corner of the widget. From the Display Settings window, you can customize the widget layout (rows and columns) by navigating through the tabs and selecting the necessary options.
Selecting devices to display
Under the Devices tab, you can select devices to show on the dashboard:
- postponed devices
- devices that need configuration
- devices without tasks
Moreover, visibility of devices can be adjusted from a widget panel by clicking the Devices link in the left corner of the bottom widget’s toolbar.
Selecting monitoring locations
Under the Locations tab you can set up the mode of representing response statistics per location:
- To show only data columns for locations with active monitoring, select Automatic. The columns with idle locations will be hidden from the widget.
- To select the locations to show on the widget manually, select the Manual mode.
Selecting device status to display
Under the Other Columns tab, you can select if to display the following device statuses:
- Alert Status: Represents current statistics on the alerts generated by the device.
- Error Status: If the device is enabled, represents the number of errored responses from monitoring locations or responses with “OK” status. Otherwise, the status “Postponed” is displayed.
- Last Response Time/Date: Represents time information on the last received response.
Choosing locations to collect Average Response Time statistics
Under the Other Columns tab, you can select if to display a current value of Average Response Time for all available locations or for displayed locations (with active monitoring) only.
Selecting device configuration details to show
Under the Other Columns tab, you can configure the following data to be shown:
- The Number of Tasks
- Monitoring Frequency
- Assigned Package
Selecting reporting period
Under the Show As tab, you can choose the response reporting period to be presented on the widget. You can select to show Most Recent Result of response time monitoring or a result calculated as a 24H Average.
Moreover, a reporting period can be changed from a widget panel by clicking the Most Recent (24H Average) link in the right corner of the bottom widget’s toolbar.
Selecting time units
Under the Show As tab, select the time units to represent response time at. The Milliseconds or Seconds options are available.
Also, you can change the time units from a widget panel by clicking the Milliseconds (Seconds) link in the right corner of the bottom widget’s toolbar.
Selecting a data refresh mode
Go to the Data Refresh tab to set up the mode of dashboard update:
- To refresh the dashboard as soon as you want, select Manually.
- To refresh data every 5 minutes, select Automatically.
Results appeared on a widget can be refreshed manually by clicking the refresh icon in the right top corner of the widget.
To reset a wizard layout to default, click Default Settings on the bottom of the Display Settings window.
Exporting and printing data
Information from a particular Monitoring Platform widget can be exported to CSV, Excel or copied to clipboard by clicking the corresponding button on the toolbar in the top of the widgets.
To print data presented on a widget, click Print on the top toolbar.
To edit device settings from within Performance Dashboard interface, click the device name on the related widget.
To access a device actions menu, click the actions menu icon next to the device name on the widget.
You can add a new device from within Performance Dashboard by clicking Add device button on the top of the dashboard page.
To edit several devices at once, select the corresponding devices on a widget and click a necessary button appeared on the widget’s top toolbar.
