ActiveSync Mail Task

An ActiveSync Mail Task uses Exchange Active Sync (EAS) to monitor your Microsoft Exchange servers for errors and sends an alert when a monitoring agent detects an issue.

The ActiveSync Mail Task checks a remote mail server to verify that users can access their email account via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol, then sends an email and checks for successful delivery of the email message after which the email is deleted.

Any error detected during monitoring check is reflected in report with an Error Code and appropriate description.

A monitoring check follows these steps with no issues for a successful response:

1) Connect to a specified mailbox

2) Send a test email from the specified mailbox to the same address

3) Check for the test email within the mailbox.
